Every television outlet in Atlanta covered Amazon Prime Now's Operation Holiday Smile

In 2015 Amazon retained me to plan and market a holiday event that provided children of active duty service men and women a message of love from their missing parent, toys via the Amazon Prime Now service, and an avalanche of publicity. With just two weeks to plan, execute and market an event for 75 children and families, I created an event plan, managed details like gift purchase and finding the best Santa around, negotiated with location and food and beverage providers, scripted the live event, contacted media, managed on-site event prep and execution, and handled media followup. Results? All three major television stations sent crews, and the two daily newspapers wrote stories and featured photos guaranteed to tug at heartstrings (complete with huge Amazon logos). Amazon’s corporate PR team were thrilled at the results, and the kids all went home happy.
